People always ask me why they cannot have Laser treatments in summer, and I always say you can, but you cannot have sun exposure to the areas being treated. The reason for that is when having Laser Hair Removal performed the light of the laser is attracted to the dark pigment in the hair follicle, destroying it so that it never grows back. If the skin in the area being treated is tanned, burning or discoloration may occur as the laser will also be attracted to the dark pigment in the skin caused by tanning. The Burns are not permanent but you definitely won't be happy walking around with dark circles on your body. Make sure you have most treatments around winter months to avoid this situation.
