Appointments

1. On the day of your treatment kindly arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment in order to avoid your treatment time being shortened due to scheduling of other clients in subsequent appointments. 

2. Should you be delayed or will arrive late for your appointment, please call your Therapist as we may need to rearrange your booking time to avoid inconveniencing other clients.

3. In the event you cannot make your appointment, please adhere to our 48 hour cancellation policy to allow the Therapist the opportunity to reschedule your appointment to a more suitable time. 

4. We require at least 48 hours notice to be given for any appointment cancellation.

5. If you cancel with 48 hours of your appointment, or do not attend a booked appointment,  a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment cost will be charged.

6. Any packages will be forfeited if you do not show for your appointment or if you do not cancel within 48 hours.

7. In the case of prepaid treatments, the treatment will be forfeited..

8. Confirmation of your appointment, A text message will be sent to you on the day or two prior to your appointment to confirm your session time. Kindly reply YES or NO in order that our system can register your acknowledgement of your appointment.    

9. Packages / Special Offers : The purchase of 1-5  treatment packages / Special Offers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. A 6 treatment package/ special offer is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and a 10 treatment package / special offer is valid for 18 months from the date of purchase. ALL PACKAGES / SPECIAL OFFERS are non-refundable and non- transferable. This also applies to all specials that are run monthly.

10. When laser hair removal areas are sold as a package, areas in the package cannot be split over separate appointments.This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions. 50% OFF DOES NOT APPLY to packages.

11. Gift vouchers: Bay Laser Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and are non transferable.

12. All Bay Laser Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase and cannot be extended thereafter. After gift card has expired, it is no longer valid, unused value will not be refunded and will become the property of Bay Laser & Beauty Clinic.

13. Bay Laser Clinic Vouchers are non-replaceable if lost.

14. We reserve the right to change our prices without further notice.

15. Things to know about Laser Hair removal treatments

16. On average, approximately 10-15 treatments are required for females, and one would come in for a treatment every 5- 6 weeks. Males may require additional treatments due to their testosterone levels. This may vary according to each individual.

17. You will be able to achieve a 70%-90% permanent hair reduction.

18. If you miss a treatment (i.e. going over your 6 week period) you would need to add an extra treatment on at the end of your treatment period.

19. Laser does not work on grey, blonde or red hair as there is no pigment in the follicle and the Alexandrite laser we use, targets the pigment in the hair.

20. Hair growth such as facial, areola and abdominal hair in females may not have as successful results as other areas of the body, as these areas of hair growth can be influenced by hormones and maintenance treatments may be required post your initial treatment period.

21. It may take up to 2 weeks for your hair to start falling out after each treatment.

22. During the treatment period, there should be no waxing, plucking or any interference with the root of the hair follicle.

23. You MAY shave or use a hair removal cream.

24. When having laser treatments, one should not expose oneself to the sun, solarium or make use of any fake tanning lotions as this can cause burn marks which are superficial but can last up to 6 months.

25. Olive skin tones and Asian skin can be prone to hyper - pigmentation but we can do a test patch before the treatment.

26. After a treatment, the skin around the area that was treated can go red and form bumps. This is normal and will disappear within a couple of days.

27. Should any redness occur, avoid scented lotions/soaps, hot water and sun exposure on the affected area.

28. If you have experienced symptoms of herpes simplex, please advise your Therapist prior to treatment as the heat of the laser may bring the condition on.

29. If you commence any new medications during the treatment period, it is important that you make the Therapist aware as it can affect your treatments.

30. You must wear your protective glasses at all times when you are having a treatment. Your Therapist will provide you with protective glasses.

31. Please note that treatments are not guaranteed, due to the individual’s skin types, hair growth and cycle.

Privacy Policy

Bay Laser Clinic only collects personal information from you with your consent, as regards information provided by you to Bay Laser Clinic; your consent is implied by your completing our Consultation Card at your initial consultation.

Bay Laser Clinic gathers and retains personal information for the following purposes; for proper assessment of your skin and hair type for reasons including your safe and effective treatment; providing you with treatments that you request and contacting you for proper reasons such as confirming appointments. Bay Laser Clinic does not and will not sell or otherwise distribute personal information including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number/s and/or email address.

Bay Laser Clinic’s privacy policy is to retain information about a client for no longer than 7 years after a clients’ last contact with us, however we may retain some information for less than 7 years, we may also retain some information for longer than 7 years, in response to specific legal requirements and other reasons relevant to the management of our clinic.

Information that is retained is stored securely and when information is no longer required it is destroyed by secure means such as shredding for paper based records.

Personal information is not intended to be gathered on the Bay Laser Clinic web site, and all reasonable steps are taken by our web master to protect visitors from malicious activity.

The Bay Laser Clinic web site [www.baylaser.com.au] transmits traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps Bay Laser Clinic analyse information about webpage traffic so as to improve our web presence and adjust to customer needs. We only use information gathered by traffic log cookies for statistical analysis purposes and data is then removed from the system. A cookie does not provide Bay Laser Clinic access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
